EAA Compliance Checker
Check if your website meets the European Accessibility Act requirements. The EAA deadline was June 28, 2025 — is your site compliant?
What is the European Accessibility Act?
The EAA (Directive 2019/882) requires all digital products and services in the EU to be accessible. Since June 28, 2025, all new websites and apps must comply.
Who must comply?
- E-commerce websites selling to EU consumers
- Banking and financial service providers
- Telecom and audiovisual services
- Transport service providers
- E-book and e-reader platforms
What are the penalties?
Each EU member state sets its own penalties. Fines can range from thousands to millions of euros depending on the country and severity of non-compliance.
How does this checker work?
We map your WCAG 2.1 scan results to EAA requirements (EN 301 549 standard). Our automated check covers the technical requirements. Some EAA requirements (like publishing an accessibility statement) need manual verification.
