Accessibility Checker for Agencies: Monitor Every Client Site From One Dashboard
This is the accessibility checker for agencies, freelancers and consultants who manage several client websites. Scan any site free, then use the Agency plan to schedule automated re-scans, get alerts when a score drops, and share access with your team, so regressions get caught between the manual audits you already do.
Who this page is for
If you run an agency, freelance as a developer, or consult on accessibility, you're probably already checking client sites with a free scanner before you pitch or bill for the work. Our own scan logs back that up: in the 28 days to 25 September 2026, the free scanner ran 1,133 scans. Of those, 35 distinct visitors scanned three or more different websites, together producing 148 scans, about 13% of everything the tool processed that month. One visitor checked nine separate sites. That's someone doing client work with a tool built for one site at a time.
The Agency plan exists for that person. It doesn't replace the manual audit you sell, it gives you one dashboard to track every client instead of bookmarking nine different report pages, and it flags when something breaks between audits so you're not the last to know. Scan a client site free
A realistic agency workflow
Most agencies that use monitoring alongside manual audits settle into something like this.
- Run a free scan on a prospect's homepage and two or three key pages before you pitch, it's the fastest way to show where a client actually stands.
- Add the client to your Agency dashboard once they sign, along with any other domains and subdomains you're responsible for.
- Triage the automated findings against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria, then do the manual review: keyboard-only navigation, a screen reader pass, checking that alt text and link labels actually make sense.
- Fix the code issues you found, using a reference like our WCAG 2.1 AA checklist for developers to keep fixes consistent across templates.
- Re-scan to confirm the score moved and the flagged issues cleared.
- Let the daily automated re-scans run: you get an email alert if the score drops or a critical issue appears, from a bad deploy, a new plugin, or a redesign nobody told you about.
- Publish an accessibility statement for the client and keep monitoring, so the next audit starts from a known baseline.
What's included vs what's not
| Included | Not included — and why |
|---|---|
| Up to 50 websites in one dashboard | Client logins. The dashboard is built for your team, not for handing accounts to clients. |
| Daily automated re-scans with email alerts on score drops or new critical issues | White-label PDF reports with your logo. Reports carry our name, not yours. |
| Automated checks against a subset of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria | A guarantee of compliance. Automated scanning cannot confirm conformance on its own. |
| Team access for up to 20 members | Bulk CSV import of client sites. Sites are added one at a time from the dashboard. |
| REST API to trigger scans and pull history, rate-limited to 100 requests per hour | A high-volume API. The cap is sized for scheduled use, not bulk crawling. |
| Optional on-site widget with text size, contrast and keyboard-navigation preferences, white-labelled on Agency | A "compliance widget". The widget adjusts preferences in the browser; it does not fix underlying code. |
How Agency compares to Pro
| Pro | Agency | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | €79/month | €199/month or €1,990/year |
| Sites | Up to 10 | Up to 50 |
| Re-scan frequency | Weekly | Daily |
| Team members | — | Up to 20 |
| Widget white-label | — | Yes |
If you manage more than ten sites or want your own colours on the widget instead of ours, Agency is the plan, otherwise Pro covers a small caseload at less cost. Full breakdown on pricing.
What automated scanning can't do
Automated tools like ours catch missing alt text, poor contrast ratios, missing form labels, heading structure problems, and other WCAG success criteria that can be tested programmatically. They can't judge whether alt text actually describes the image, whether a screen reader user can complete a checkout flow, or whether keyboard focus order makes sense on a complex page, that needs a person. This is also where overlay widgets oversell themselves: a script that changes font size or contrast doesn't rewrite the underlying markup, and it doesn't establish legal compliance. In January 2025 the US FTC ordered accessiBe to pay $1 million over claims that its widget could make any site fully WCAG-compliant, a reminder that a scan, or a widget, is a starting point for audit work, not a substitute for it. See our take on accessiBe alternatives if a client already has an overlay installed.
Where the EAA fits in
The European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, has applied to covered products and services since 28 June 2025. It doesn't name WCAG directly, it points to the harmonised standard EN 301 549, which builds on WCAG success criteria, so a WCAG-based scan is a reasonable proxy for where a site stands, but it isn't a legal conformance assessment. Our EAA checker runs the same scan through an EAA-specific lens, and our post on EAA fines and penalties by country covers what regulators can actually do to non-compliant sites.

Frequently asked questions
Does the widget make client sites compliant?
No. The widget lets visitors adjust text size, contrast and keyboard navigation in their browser, and on Agency you can white-label it with your own colours. It does not rewrite a client's code or establish legal compliance. The FTC fined accessiBe $1 million in January 2025 for claiming a similar widget could make sites WCAG-compliant; we don't make that claim.
How many API requests can I make?
The Agency plan includes a REST API, rate-limited to 100 requests per hour, for triggering scans and pulling site or scan history. That's enough to run scheduled jobs across dozens of sites; it isn't sized for bulk crawling or real-time polling.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Every plan, Agency included, is billed month-to-month or yearly with no long-term contract, and you can cancel from your billing dashboard whenever you like. The yearly Agency plan (€1,990) is paid upfront and works out cheaper than twelve monthly payments of €199.
Does this cover the European Accessibility Act?
Our scans check a subset of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria, which is what the EAA's harmonised standard, EN 301 549, is built on. That makes a scan a useful proxy for EAA-relevant issues, but automated testing alone doesn't establish legal conformance; you still need the manual review an EAA compliance process requires.
What's the difference between Agency and Pro?
Pro covers up to 10 sites with weekly re-scans for €79/month. Agency covers up to 50 sites with daily re-scans, 20 team seats, API access and a white-labelled widget for €199/month or €1,990/year. Most freelancers fit on Pro; agencies managing more than ten active client sites need Agency.
Can clients log into the dashboard themselves?
Not currently. The Agency dashboard is built for your team (you can invite up to 20 members), not for handing separate logins to clients. To share results with a client, send them the scan results page or walk them through it on a call; a client-facing login isn't part of the plan today.
What does the automated scan actually catch, and what does it miss?
It catches things that can be tested programmatically: missing alt text, poor colour contrast, missing form labels, heading and landmark structure, and similar WCAG checks. It misses whether content makes sense to a screen reader user, whether keyboard focus order works on complex interactions, and other judgment calls that need a manual audit.
How is this different from a one-off scan on the free tool?
The free scanner gives you a single snapshot of one site. Agency adds scheduling, a dashboard for up to 50 sites, alerts when scores drop, team access and API access, the parts you need once you're monitoring client sites over time rather than checking one page before a pitch.
